Elias has been a driving force in CuriousWorks’ national community arts projects.

Elias has been a driving force in CuriousWorks’ national community arts projects. As an educator and workshop facilitator, Elias has worked with hundreds of young and old people from culturally diverse backgrounds across Western Sydney, Redfern, regional NSW and regional Western Australia. He has sought to build the capacity for sustainable self-expression through digital media with every group and individual he has worked with, including marginalised communities, other not-for- profit organisations, school students and passionate individuals.
Elias’ work with the CuriousWorks community program and the Stories Project utilises his ability to train filmmakers and web developers of varied skill levels and experience, and provide adaptive and appropriate training for different communities and individuals. The focus of Elias and CuriousWorks’ energies is to create an alternative voice for Australia, where marginalised communities can express themselves publicly through the powers of filmmaking and innovative digital media, providing a new, untold Australian narrative.
Elias’ previous experience includes teaching at the University of New South Wales, working on visual media applications for deaf people at the Royal Institute for Dead and Blind Children, and developing prototype educational computer games with the Catholic Education Office.
