Candy Bowers, Artist and Youth Arts Community WorkerThe New Media Training is fantastic… I was surprised at how quickly you can learn new media techniques and how effectively you can apply them without buying new equipment and software. The trainers show you how to work with what you’ve got.
Lorraine, academic and environmental campaigner
CuriousWorks holds regular new media training sessions in our warehouse just next to Central station.
Every technique we’ve developed over years of working in the field with communities, non-profits and creatives has been condensed into 4, simple training sessions.
By the end of the course you will have an innovative strategy and a bag-full of techniques for leveraging digital media production and the Internet for your cause.
If you want to use new media for good, not for evil, then this is the course for you…
Obama did it. Even Rudd’s doing it.
Using new media isn’t a burden. It adds value to what you do and is simple and affordable.
Forget all the myths you’ve heard about it.
You don’t need to hire expensive media professionals: give your own staff the know-how instead.
Use film and photography, blogging and online networking, facebook, flickr, youtube, twitter and a host of free, effective digital tools to document, share and market what you do every day.
Tell your story through multimedia and connect with your community.
We run 4 training sessions on loop, with one session per week. The sessions are:
1. Digital Video and Photography
2. Digital Multimedia Production
3. Publishing Your Content on the Internet
4. Digital Media Strategy for Your Organisation
CuriousWorks offers fun, friendly training sessions in creative digital media. These are tailored to the needs of the non-profit and creative industries.
