Overflow’s opening night goes swimmingly
Last night CuriousWorks premiered a projection work at Federation Square called Overflow. Put on by Melbourne Fringe Festival and Federation Square, Overflow is an animated work that imagines Melbourne’s city centre underwater and the different kind of life its citizens would have in that world. The night was great fun, with the projection going on after some great parkour, circus and physical performance work by local groups. Later in the night people played in our blue screen bath tub, their faces looming up on Federation Square’s iconic architecture, and had a go at our digital spray can as well.
Overflow will play nightly for the rest of Melbourne Fringe.
Overflow opens at Federation Square from Shakthi Sivanathan on Vimeo.
This Saturday we have The Migrant Project film screening and an ASI gig to look forward to at Horse Bazaar - we can’t wait!
